  1  1    Section 1.  Section 483A.24, subsection 2, paragraph a,
  1  2 subparagraph (3), unnumbered paragraph 1, Code 1997, is
  1  3 amended to read as follows:
  1  4    "Owner" means an owner of a farm unit who is a resident or
  1  5 nonresident of Iowa and who is one of the following:  
  1  6                           EXPLANATION
  1  7    This bill provides that nonresident owners of farm units
  1  8 may receive free deer hunting licenses and wild turkey hunting
  1  9 licenses under the same circumstances as resident owners of
  1 10 farm units.
