1 4 RELATING TO PERMITS ISSUED TO LICENSED AUTOMOBILE TIRE
1 5 RECYCLING DEALERS TO OWN OR OPERATE A WASTE TIRE SITE.

1 7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:

1 9 Section 1. Section 455D.11, subsection 1, paragraph d,
1 10 Code 1997, is amended to read as follows:
1 11 d. "Tire collector" means either a person who owns or
1 12 operates a site used for the storage, collection, or deposit
1 13 of more than five hundred waste tires or authorized vehicle
1 14 recycler who is licensed by the department of transportation
1 15 pursuant to section 321H.4 and who owns or operates a site
1 16 used for the storage, collection, or deposit of more than
1 17 three thousand five hundred waste tires.
