1 1 Section 1. Section 422.7, Code 1997, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 25. Subtract to the extent included,
1 4 active duty pay received by a person in the national guard or
1 5 armed forces military reserve for service performed on or
1 6 after November 21, 1995, pursuant to military orders related
1 7 to peacekeeping in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
1 8 Sec. 2. This Act, being deemed of immediate importance,
1 9 takes effect upon enactment.
1 10 EXPLANATION
1 11 This bill provides an income tax exemption for the active
1 12 duty pay of national guard and armed forces military reserve
1 13 personnel for service performed on or after November 21, 1995,
1 14 pursuant to military orders related to peacekeeping in Bosnia-
1 15 Herzegovina.
1 16 This bill takes effect upon enactment.
