1 1 Section 1. Section 483A.24, subsection 2, Code l997, is
1 2 amended by adding the following new paragraph:
1 3 NEW PARAGRAPH. d. If the commission authorizes a late or
1 4 additional deer hunting season which is in addition to the
1 5 deer hunting seasons regularly adopted, each owner and each
1 6 tenant of a farm unit where the deer hunting season is
1 7 authorized, upon application, shall be issued a second free
1 8 deer hunting license which is valid only for hunting on that
1 9 farm unit.
1 10 EXPLANATION
1 11 This bill provides that, if the natural resource commission
1 12 authorizes a late or additional deer hunting season after the
1 13 regular deer hunting seasons are adopted, the owner and the
1 14 tenant of a farm unit where the deer hunting season is
1 15 authorized, upon application, shall receive a second free deer
1 16 hunting license for that farm unit.
