  1  1    Section 1.  Section 716.7, subsection 4, Code 1997, is
  1  2 amended to read as follows:
  1  3    4.  The term "trespass" does not mean the any of the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    a.  The entering upon the right-of-way of a public road or
  1  6 highway.
  1  7    b.  The entering into a nonmeandered, navigable stream to
  1  8 wade or fish.  
  1  9                           EXPLANATION
  1 10    This bill provides that the definition of criminal trespass
  1 11 does not include the use of a nonmeandered, navigable stream
  1 12 by a person to wade or fish.
