  1  1    Section 1.  Section 20.22, subsection 2, Code 1977, is
  1  2 amended by adding the following new unnumbered paragraph:
  1  3    NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH.  Any individual appointed or
  1  4 selected as an arbitrator pursuant to this section shall be a
  1  5 resident of this state.  
  1  6                           EXPLANATION
  1  7    The bill provides that any individual appointed or selected
  1  8 to arbitrate public employee collective bargaining disputes
  1  9 under section 20.22 must be an Iowa resident.
