1 2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
1 3 #1. Page 1, by inserting after line 17 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "The department of management, in consultation with
1 6 the commission and other appropriate and necessary
1 7 state agencies and departments, shall initiate a study
1 8 of the bonded indebtedness associated with the Iowa
1 9 communications network, and the bonded indebtedness
1 10 associated with other state agencies and departments.
1 11 The study shall include an analysis of the total
1 12 amount of bonded indebtedness, the structure of such
1 13 bonded indebtedness, and recommendations on whether
1 14 such bonded indebtedness can be restructured in a
1 15 manner which will reduce the costs associated with
1 16 such indebtedness to the state and the taxpayers of
1 17 this state. The department of management shall
1 18 provide a written report to the commission or other
1 19 appropriate state agency or department concerning the
1 20 findings of the department with respect to the bonded
1 21 indebtedness associated with the commission or other
1 22 state agency or department."
