  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-9257, to the Senate
  1  2 amendment, H-9118, to House File 2498, as amended,
  1  3 passed, and reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 13 the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "___.  Notwithstanding the tax rate increases
  1  7 specified in section 99F.11, the tax rates provided
  1  8 for the calendar year 1998 shall be the tax rates for
  1  9 the calendar years 1998 through 2003."
  1 10    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
