  1  1    Amend the Senate amendment, H-9118, to House File
  1  2 2498, as amended, passed, and reprinted by the House,
  1  3 as follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 29 the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "#   .  Page 11, by inserting after line 19 the
  1  7 following:
  1  8    "Effective July 1, 1999, the state shall annually
  1  9 reimburse local governments that conduct food
  1 10 establishment inspections under agreements with the
  1 11 department of inspections and appeals, the difference
  1 12 between the cost of performing the inspections and
  1 13 actual revenues generated by food establishment
  1 14 license fees.  The legislative fiscal bureau shall
  1 15 determine the cost of performing the inspections and
  1 16 shall base the determination upon the state's cost of
  1 17 inspections.""
