  1  1    Amend Senate Joint Resolution 2004, as passed by
  1  2 the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 3, by striking line 19 and inserting the
  1  4 following:  "STATE TAXES."
  1  5    #2.  Page 4, by inserting after line 9 the
  1  6 following:
  1  7    "REFUND OF UNCONSTITUTIONAL TAXES.  Sec. 4.  If any
  1  8 state tax is declared unconstitutional by the United
  1  9 States Supreme Court or the Supreme Court of Iowa, the
  1 10 state shall refund to the appropriate taxpayers, with
  1 11 interest applied to the amount refunded, all amounts
  1 12 collected by the state as a result of the
  1 13 unconstitutional tax."
  1 14    #3.  Page 4, line 11, by striking the figure "3"
  1 15 and inserting the following:  "4".
  1 16    #4.  By renumbering as necessary.
