  1  1    Amend Senate File 2410, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 66, by inserting after line 27 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec. ___.  MEDICAL AND SURGICAL TREATMENT OF
  1  6 INDIGENT PERSONS – STUDY.  The legislative council is
  1  7 requested to establish a 1998 legislative interim
  1  8 committee to review the medical and surgical treatment
  1  9 of indigent persons in the state through the
  1 10 university of Iowa hospitals and clinics under chapter
  1 11 255 and 255A.  The review should include but is not
  1 12 limited to the programs and services provided and the
  1 13 possibility of providing these programs and services
  1 14 at alternative locations throughout the state."
  1 15    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
