1 3 #1. Page 32, by inserting after line 21 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "___. The department shall perform an evaluation
1 6 of public and private residential treatment programs,
1 7 including those programs providing highly structured
1 8 juvenile program beds. The evaluation shall include
1 9 but is not limited to a review of the curriculum and
1 10 treatment approaches used by the programs, the
1 11 recidivism rate of juveniles who have completed the
1 12 programs, and other selected variables, subject to the
1 13 availability of this information. A report of the
1 14 evaluation shall be submitted to the general assembly
1 15 by January 1, 1999."
