1 3 #1. Page 9, by inserting after line 5 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. . Section 483A.19, Code 1997, is amended
1 6 to read as follows:
1 7 483A.19 SHOWING LICENSE TO OFFICER.
1 8 Every person shall, while fishing, hunting, or fur
1 9 harvesting, show the person's license, certificate, or
1 10 permit, to any peace officer or the owner or person in
1 11 lawful control of the land or water upon which
1 12 licensee may be hunting, fishing, or fur harvesting
1 13 when requested by the persons to do so. Any failure
1 14 to so carry or refusal to show or so exhibit the
1 15 person's license, certificate, or permit shall be a
1 16 violation of this chapter. However, except for
1 17 possession and exhibition of deer licenses and tags or
1 18 wild turkey licenses and tags, a person charged with
1 19 violating this section shall not be convicted if the
1 20 person produces in court, within a reasonable time, a
1 21 license, certificate, or permit for hunting, fishing,
1 22 or fur harvesting issued to that person and valid when
1 23 the person was charged with a violation of this
1 24 section."
