1 3 #1. Page 2, line 10, by inserting after the figure
1 4 "(3)" the following: "(a)".
1 5 #2. Page 3, by inserting after line 13 the
1 6 following:
1 7 "(b) Notwithstanding subparagraph subdivision (a),
1 8 a plan filed on or after July 2, 1998, shall provide
1 9 that the initial prices for basic communications
1 10 services shall be the rates approved and in effect at
1 11 the time the local exchange carrier files the plan
1 12 reduced by a percentage equal to the sum of four
1 13 percent plus the average percentage of bonuses paid
1 14 during the preceding twelve-month period by the local
1 15 exchange carrier to its five highest ranking officers
1 16 or employees in this state. A local exchange carrier
1 17 which is required to reduce its rates by this percent
1 18 shall not, at a later time, increase its rates for
1 19 basic communications services as a result of the
1 20 carrier's compliance with the board's rules relating
1 21 to unbundling."
