1 3 #1. Page 31, line 24, by inserting after the word
1 4 "beds." the following: "Of the moneys allocated in
1 5 this paragraph, $50,000 shall be used for an
1 6 independent evaluation of the existing programs
1 7 providing highly structured juvenile program beds.
1 8 The evaluation shall include but is not limited to a
1 9 review of the curriculum used by the programs, the
1 10 recidivism rate of juveniles who have completed the
1 11 programs, and a comparison with the curriculum and
1 12 recidivism rates in the state training schools, Iowa
1 13 juvenile home, private group foster care providers,
1 14 and other comparable providers. A report of the
1 15 evaluation shall be submitted to the general assembly
1 16 by January 1, 1999."
