1 2 #1. Page 34, by inserting after line 27 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. 300. Section 89.4, Code 1997, is amended by
1 5 adding the following new subsection:
1 6 NEW SUBSECTION. 4. Jacketed direct or indirect
1 7 fired vessels built and installed in accordance with
1 8 the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Code,
1 9 section VII, division 1, appendix 19, shall not be
1 10 considered boilers or power boilers for purposes of
1 11 this chapter and shall not be required to meet the
1 12 American Society of Mechanical Engineers standard for
1 13 controls and safety devices for automatically fired
1 14 boilers."
1 15 #2. Page 37, by inserting after line 10 the
1 16 following:
1 17 "___. Section 300 of this Act, amending section
1 18 89.4, being deemed of immediate importance, takes
1 19 effect upon enactment."
