  1  1    Amend the Senate amendment, H-8625, to House File
  1  2 2272, as amended, passed, and reprinted by the House,
  1  3 as follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 1, line 20, by inserting after the word
  1  5 "requirements." the following:  "The state board shall
  1  6 also require that school districts and accredited
  1  7 nonpublic schools implement a policy that requires all
  1  8 students to be able to satisfactorily demonstrate,
  1  9 prior to receiving a diploma, the ability to
  1 10 adequately read, write, and perform basic mathematical
  1 11 computation skills."
