  1  1    Amend House File 2533 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 30, by inserting after line 30 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec. ___.  Section 295.4, subsection 1, Code 1997,
  1  5 is amended to read as follows:
  1  6    1.  School districts, as defined in section 295.2,
  1  7 subsection 8, shall expend funds received pursuant to
  1  8 section 295.2 for the acquisition, lease, lease-
  1  9 purchase, installation, and maintenance of
  1 10 instructional technology equipment, including hardware
  1 11 and software, materials and supplies related to
  1 12 instructional technology, and staff development and
  1 13 training related to instructional technology, and
  1 14 shall establish priorities for the use of the funds.
  1 15 However, funds Funds received by a school district
  1 16 pursuant to section 295.2 shall not be expended to add
  1 17 a full-time equivalent position or otherwise increase
  1 18 staffing, unless the position added is that of
  1 19 computer systems analyst."
  1 20    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
