  1  1    Amend Senate File 2320, as passed by the Senate, as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 3, by inserting after line 11 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec. ___.  Section 331.361, Code Supplement 1997,
  1  6 is amended by adding the following new subsection:
  1  7    NEW SUBSECTION.  8.  a.  An official shall not
  1  8 participate in, or receive directly or indirectly any
  1  9 money or valuable thing from horse racing or pari-
  1 10 mutuel wagering on county property which has been
  1 11 approved by the state racing and gaming commission for
  1 12 gambling activities.
  1 13    b.  As used in this subsection, "official" means
  1 14 one or more of the following:
  1 15    (1)  A member of the county board of supervisors of
  1 16 a county that owns the approved county property.
  1 17    (2)  A member of the board of directors of a
  1 18 nonprofit corporation having an agreement with a
  1 19 county board of supervisors for the use of approved
  1 20 county property under a license issued by the state
  1 21 racing and gaming commission.
  1 22    (3)  A spouse or child of a person described in
  1 23 subparagraph (1) or (2).
  1 24    c.  An official who knowingly violates the
  1 25 provisions of paragraph "a" is guilty of a serious
  1 26 misdemeanor and may be removed from public office or
  1 27 as an officer or director of an affected nonprofit
  1 28 corporation."
  1 29    #2.  Title page, line 4, by inserting after the
  1 30 word "boats," the following:  "prohibiting certain
  1 31 conflicts of interest,".
