1 1 Amend Senate File 2320, as passed by the Senate, as
1 2 follows:
1 3 #1. Page 1, line 24, by striking the word and
1 4 figures "July 1, 1998," and inserting the following:
1 5 "the effective date of this Act".
1 6 #2. Page 1, by inserting after line 33 the
1 7 following:
1 8 "___. During the moratorium from the effective
1 9 date of this Act, until July 1, 2003, the commission
1 10 shall not authorize any of the following:
1 11 a. An increase in the number or type of gambling
1 12 games or the number of slot machines on excursion
1 13 gambling boats.
1 14 b. A number of slot machines at a pari-mutuel
1 15 racetrack which is greater than the number authorized
1 16 on or before the effective date of this Act."
1 17 #3. Page 3, by inserting after line 20 the
1 18 following:
1 19 "Sec. ___. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act, being deemed
1 20 of immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment."
1 21 #4. Title page, line 8, by inserting after the
1 22 word "age" the following: ", and providing an
1 23 effective date".
