  1  1    Amend House File 2513 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  By striking page 1, line 2, through page 2,
  1  3 line 8, and inserting the following:  
  1  4                    "DEPENDENT CREDIT
  1  5    Section 1.  Section 422.12, subsection 1, paragraph
  1  6 c, Code 1997, is amended to read as follows:
  1  7    c.  For each dependent, an additional forty seventy
  1  8 dollars.  As used in this section, the term
  1  9 "dependent" has the same meaning as provided by the
  1 10 Internal Revenue Code."
  1 11    #2.  Title page, by striking lines 1 through 3 and
  1 12 inserting the following:  "An Act relating to the
  1 13 individual income tax by increasing the dependent
  1 14 credit,".
  1 15    #3.  Title page, line 4, by striking the word
  1 16 "descendants,".
