PAG LIN 1 1 Amend House File 2514 as follows: 1 2 #1. Page 4, by inserting after line 26 the 1 3 following: 1 4 "Sec. ___. Section 321J.22, Code Supplement 1997, 1 5 is amended by adding the following new subsections: 1 6 NEW SUBSECTION. 2A. The course provided according 1 7 to this section may also be offered by a substance 1 8 abuse agency licensed pursuant to chapter 125. 1 9 a. Enrollment in the course is not limited to 1 10 persons required to enroll, attend, and successfully 1 11 complete a course for drinking drivers pursuant to 1 12 this chapter. 1 13 b. The course provided according to this 1 14 subsection shall be taught by qualified staff of the 1 15 licensed substance abuse agency who are trained in the 1 16 state-approved curriculum. 1 17 c. The division of substance abuse of the 1 18 department of public health may establish reasonable 1 19 fees to defray the expenses associated with offering 1 20 the course. 1 21 NEW SUBSECTION. 6. a. Licensed substance abuse 1 22 agencies offering courses pursuant to this section 1 23 shall prepare a list of the locations of the courses, 1 24 the dates and times for the courses, the procedure for 1 25 enrollment, and the schedule of course fees. The list 1 26 shall be updated periodically, and a copy of each 1 27 updated list shall be sent to the district courts in 1 28 the area which the substance abuse agency serves. 1 29 b. Each licensed substance abuse agency offering 1 30 courses under this section shall maintain attendance, 1 31 successful and unsuccessful completion data on the 1 32 persons ordered to enroll, attend, and successfully 1 33 complete a course for drinking drivers.
