1 2 #1. Page 8, by inserting after line 20 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. ___. NEW SECTION. 422E.6 STATE MATCHING
1 5 FUND.
1 6 1. There is appropriated from the rebuild Iowa
1 7 infrastructure fund created in section 8.57,
1 8 subsection 5, to the department of revenue and
1 9 finance, an amount sufficient to match with one dollar
1 10 of state funding each dollar of local option sales tax
1 11 for school infrastructure purposes collected in a
1 12 county which has imposed the tax pursuant to section
1 13 422E.2. The appropriated funds shall be allocated to
1 14 a school district, or school districts, within a
1 15 county having imposed the tax by the director of
1 16 revenue and finance in the same manner that the local
1 17 option sales tax for school infrastructure receipts
1 18 are allocated pursuant to section 422E.3, subsection
1 19 5, and shall be deposited into the account within the
1 20 county's local sales and services tax fund maintained
1 21 in the name of the school district or school
1 22 districts, as provided in section 422E.3, subsection
1 23 4.
1 24 2. The state match shall continue for the school
1 25 district or school districts within a county until the
1 26 repeal of the local option sales tax for school
1 27 infrastructure purposes for that county. The funds
1 28 shall be utilized solely for school infrastructure
1 29 purposes as defined in section 422E.1, subsection 3."
1 30 #2. Title page, line 4, by inserting after the
1 31 word "providing" the following: "an appropriation
1 32 and".
1 33 #3. By renumbering as necessary.
