1 2 #1. Page 8, by inserting after line 20 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. ___. NEW SECTION. 422E.6 STATE MATCHING
1 5 FUND.
1 6 1. There is appropriated from the rebuild Iowa
1 7 infrastructure fund created in section 8.57,
1 8 subsection 5, to the department of revenue and
1 9 finance, an amount sufficient to match with one dollar
1 10 of state funding each dollar of local option sales tax
1 11 for school infrastructure purposes collected in a
1 12 county which has imposed the tax pursuant to section
1 13 422E.2. The appropriated funds shall be allocated to
1 14 a school district, or school districts, within a
1 15 county having imposed the tax with an actual
1 16 enrollment count per school district of less than, or
1 17 equal to, two thousand pupils. School districts with
1 18 an actual enrollment of greater than two thousand
1 19 pupils shall not be eligible for receipt of state
1 20 matching funds. The funds shall be allocated by the
1 21 director of revenue and finance in the same manner
1 22 that the local option sales tax for school
1 23 infrastructure receipts are allocated pursuant to
1 24 section 422E.3, subsection 5, and shall be deposited
1 25 into the account within the county's local sales and
1 26 services tax fund maintained in the name of the school
1 27 district or school districts, as provided in section
1 28 422E.3, subsection 4.
1 29 2. The state match shall continue for the school
1 30 district or school districts within a county until the
1 31 repeal of the local option sales tax for school
1 32 infrastructure purposes for that county. The funds
1 33 shall be utilized solely for school infrastructure
1 34 purposes as defined in section 422E.1, subsection 3."
1 35 #2. Title page, line 4, by inserting after the
1 36 word "providing" the following: "an appropriation
1 37 and".
1 38 #3. By renumbering as necessary.
