  1  1    Amend House File 732 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 5, line 26, by inserting after the word
  1  3 "years." the following:  "A city or county that has
  1  4 designated an area under section 404.1, subsection 5,
  1  5 and in which residential property will be eligible to
  1  6 receive a property tax exemption shall notify by mail
  1  7 the school district or districts in which the
  1  8 residential property is located.  However,
  1  9 notwithstanding contrary provisions of this or other
  1 10 chapters, residential property shall not be exempt
  1 11 from the property taxes certified by a school district
  1 12 in which the property is located if the board of
  1 13 directors of the school district passes, within sixty
  1 14 days of receipt of the notification, a resolution
  1 15 specifying that the residential property is not exempt
  1 16 from school property taxes."
