  1  1    Amend House File 704 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 11, by inserting after line 11 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Section 321E.11, unnumbered paragraph
  1  5 1, Code 1997, is amended to read as follows:
  1  6    Movements by permit in accordance with this chapter
  1  7 shall be permitted only during the hours from thirty
  1  8 minutes prior to sunrise to thirty minutes following
  1  9 sunset unless the issuing authority determines that
  1 10 the movement can be better accomplished at another
  1 11 period of time because of traffic volume conditions or
  1 12 the vehicle subject to the permit has an overall
  1 13 length not to exceed one hundred feet, an overall
  1 14 width not to exceed eleven feet, and an overall height
  1 15 not to exceed fourteen feet, four inches, and the
  1 16 permit requires the vehicle to operate only on those
  1 17 highways designated by the department.  Additional
  1 18 safety lighting and escorts may be required for
  1 19 movement at night."
