  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-1266, to House File 597 as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 11 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "#___.  Page 2, line 14, by striking the word "The"
  1  6 and inserting the following:  "If the parent or other
  1  7 specified relative has entered into an attendance
  1  8 cooperation agreement and has made every reasonable
  1  9 effort to comply with the terms of the agreement but
  1 10 would be subject to sanction because of the child's
  1 11 failure to comply with the attendance policy
  1 12 applicable to the child's school, the department may
  1 13 grant a good cause exception and suspend the sanction.
  1 14 Unless the sanction is suspended, the"."
  1 15    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
