  1  1    Amend House File 456 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 35 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec. ___.  Section 400.6, unnumbered paragraph 1,
  1  5 Code 1997, is amended to read as follows:
  1  6    This chapter applies to permanent full-time all
  1  7 police officers and fire fighters under civil service
  1  8 in cities having a population of more than eight
  1  9 thousand, and to all appointive permanent full-time
  1 10 employees in cities having a population of more than
  1 11 fifteen thousand except:".
  1 12    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
