A bill for an act relating to campaign finance by setting limits for contributions by political committees to certain political campaigns, establishing voluntary expenditure and contribution limits for political campaigns for candidates for the general assembly and a tax credit for qualified contributions, prohibiting the publication of false or misleading information in political advertisements, permitting the transfer of campaign funds after a candidate has not served in public office for a number of years, forming a bipartisan commission to recommend reforms in the laws relating to the financing of political campaigns, and making penalties applicable.
