                     CONSIDERATION OF GOVERNORS APPOINTMENT

                       (Individual Confirmation Calendar)

         Senator Horn called up the appointment of Jacquelyne I. Allen as a
    member of the State Racing and Gaming Commission, placed on the
    Individual Confirmation Calendar on April 1, 1996, and found on page
    1170 of the Senate Journal.

         Senator Lind asked unanimous consent that action on the
    confirmation of Jacquelyne I. Allen be deferred.

         The Senate stood at ease at 6:03 p.m. until the fall of the gavel
    for the purpose of a party caucus.

         The Senate resumed session at 6:04 p.m., President Boswell
    presiding.
