    STATE GOVERNMENT

    Final Bill Action: SENATE FILE 2384 (SSB 2230), a bill for  an act
    relating to matters within the jurisdiction of the Iowa ethics and
    campaign disclosure board, by providing for certain changes in reporting
    requirements relating to campaign contributions and expenditures;
    liability for the activities of committees; certain restrictions on
    fundraising and use of funds by political committees; certain changes in
    the handling of investigations and complaints before the board; and
    permitting a fee for access to computerized campaign finance disclosure
    records.

    Recommendation: APPROVED COMMITTEE BILL WITHOUT RECOMMENDATION.

    Final Vote: Ayes, 14: Gronstal, Kibbie, Rittmer, Bennett, Bisignano,
    Dearden, Drake, Fink, Giannetto, Halvorson, Lind, Lundby, McLaren and
    Sorensen. Nays, none.  Absent or not voting, 1: Connolly.

    Fiscal Note: NOT REQUIRED UNDER JOINT RULE 17.

    ALSO:

    Final Bill Action: SENATE FILE 2387 (SSB 2210), a bill for  an act
    relating to the department of general services, by providing for the
    sale or disposal of unwanted state personal property, for the terms and
    conditions of state lease-purchase agreements, and by establishing a
    monument maintenance account.

    Recommendation: APPROVED COMMITTEE BILL.

    Final Vote: Ayes, 14: Gronstal, Kibbie, Rittmer, Bennett, Bisignano,
    Dearden, Drake, Fink, Giannetto, Halvorson, Lind, Lundby, McLaren and
    Sorensen. Nays, none.  Absent or not voting, 1: Connolly.

    Fiscal Note: NOT REQUIRED UNDER JOINT RULE 17.

    ALSO:

    Final Bill Action: SENATE FILE 2411 (SSB 2323), a bill for an act
    providing the state auditor with the right to examine documents of state
    officers and depaortments.

    Recommendation: APPROVED COMMITTEE BILL.

    Final Vote: Ayes, 14: Gronstal, Kibbie, Rittmer, Bennett, Bisignano,
    Connolly, Dearden, Drake, Fink, Giannetto, Halvorson, Lundby, McLaren
