         The Senate met in regular session at 1:22 p.m., President Boswell
    presiding.

         Prayer was offered by the Reverend Eddie K. Stubblefield, pastor of
    the First Christian Church, Sac City, Iowa.

         The Journal of Friday, February 9, 1996, was approved.



                              INTRODUCTION OF BILLS

         Senate File 2175, by McLaren and Banks, a bill for  an act
    increasing motor vehicle damage disclosure statement limits.

         Read first time and passed on file.

         Senate File 2176, by Zieman, Rife, Jensen, Lundby, Iverson,
    Bennett, Banks, McLaren, Douglas, Kramer, McKean, Hedge, Rittmer, Lind,
    Redfern, Bartz, Boettger, Borlaug, Priebe, Freeman, and Kibbie, a bill
    for  an act relating to the deduction for payments of premiums on health
    insurance and long-term care coverage and providing an effective date
    and retroactive applicability date provision.

         Senate File 2177, by Fink, a bill for  an act relating to the
    willful destruction of E911 addressing signs and providing a penalty.
