         The Senate met in regular session at 1:45 p.m., Senator Sorensen
    presiding.

         Prayer was offered by the Reverend Roger Todd, pastor of the First
    Presbyterian Church of Adair, and the Westminster Presbyterian Church of
    Des Moines, Iowa.

         The Journal of Friday, January 12, 1996, was approved.



                              INTRODUCTION OF BILL

         Senate File 2049, by McKean, a bill for  an act relating to the
    authority of cities and counties to restrict public indecent exposure
    and providing an effective date.

         Read first time and passed on file.

         The Senate stood at ease at 1:48 p.m. until the fall of the gavel
    for the purpose of a committee meeting.

         The Senate resumed session at 2:12 p.m., President Boswell
    presiding.



                              INTRODUCTION OF BILLS

         Senate File 2050, by Maddox, a bill for  an act relating to
    determining the costs of a cremation permit.

         Read first time and passed on file.

         Senate File 2051, by Maddox, a bill for  an act providing access to
    a county medical examiner to all accident reports and related appendices
    prepared by or in the possession of the state department of
    transportation.
