Seventeenth Calendar Day - Twelfth Session Day Hall of the House of Representatives Des Moines, Iowa, Wednesday, January 24, 1996 The House met pursuant to adjournment, Speaker Corbett in the chair. Prayer was offered by Reverend David Splett, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Eldora. The Journal of Tuesday, January 23, 1996 was approved. SPECIAL PRESENTATION Prior to reconvening, the House, in recognition of Arts Day at the Capitol, was entertained by the Pioneer String Quartet. Members of the quartet were: Alice Vermeer, Linda Pfund, violin; Charles Miranda, viola; and Joseph Rodgers, cello. They are also members of the Des Moines Symphony. The House rose and expressed its appreciation.
