         Amendment S-3523 was adopted.

         With the adoption of amendment S-3523 to amendment S-3484, the
    Chair ruled amendments S-3525 and S-3530 filed by Senator Hedge from the
    floor to amendment S-3484, out of order.



                                LEAVE OF ABSENCE

         Leave of absence was granted as follows:

         Senator Maddox until he returns on request of Senator McKean.



                                BUSINESS PENDING

    House File 519

         The Senate resumed consideration of House File 519.

         Senator Fink offered amendment S-3529 filed by him from the floor
    to amendment S-3484 and called for a division: Lines 4-23 as division
    S-3529A and lines 24-29 as division S-3529B.

         The Chair ruled division S-3529B to amendment S-3484, out of order.

         Senator Fink asked and received unanimous consent that action on
    division S-3429A to amendment S-3484, be deferred.

         Senator Bartz offered amendment S-3527 filed by him from the floor
    to amendment S-3484 and moved its adoption.

         Amendment S-3527 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Senator Iverson offered amendment S-3533 filed by Senators Iverson
    and Husak from the floor to amendment S-3484 and moved its adoption.

         Amendment S-3533 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Senator Iverson moved the adoption of amendment S-3519 by Senators
    Iverson and Husak to amendment S-3484, previously deferred.
