         *Pursuant to Senate Rule 40, the Legislative Service Bureau
    reported nonsubstantive changes to the members of the Ways and Means
    Committee on Senate File 466 and they were attached to the committee
    report.



                              CONSIDERATION OF BILL

                            (Ways and Means Calendar)

         Senator Horn asked and received unanimous consent to take up for
    consideration Senate File 466.

    Senate File 466

         On motion of Senator Vilsack, Senate File 466, a bill for  an act
    relating to tax provisions involving income tax, machinery, equipment
    and computers property tax reimbursement, and services paid for by
    property taxes and property tax reductions and credits and providing
    appropriations, penalties, effective dates, and retroactive
    applicability provisions, was taken up for consideration.

         Senator Borlaug offered amendment S-3337 filed by Senators Borlaug,
    Rife and Tinsman from the floor to pages 2-4 and the title page of the
    bill.

         Senator Lind asked and received unanimous consent that action  on
    amendment S-3337 be deferred.

         Senator Horn asked and received unanimous consent that action  on
    Senate File 466 be deferred.



                                BUSINESS PENDING

    Senate File 181

         The Senate resumed consideration of Senate File 181, a bill for an
    act providing a sales tax exemption relating to aircraft and providing
    effective date and retroactive applicability provisions, amendment
    S-3186 by the committee on Ways and Means to page 1 and the title page
    of the bill, and amendment S-3266 by Senators Kramer and Lundby to
    amendment S-3186, previously deferred.

         Senator Kramer moved the adoption of amendment S-3266 to amendment
    S-3186 and requested a record roll call.
