                      REPORT OF THE SECRETARY OF THE SENATE

         MR. PRESIDENT: Pursuant to Senate Rule 21, I report that in
    engrossing Senate File 422, the following corrections were made:

         1. Page 9, line 19, the words and numbers Sections 1 through 23
    were changed to the words nd numbers Sections 1 through 24.

         2. Page 9, line 21, the word and number Section 24 were changed to
    the word and number Section 25.

                           CERTIFICATES OF RECOGNITION

         The secretary of the senate issued the following certificates of
    recognition:

         Christina Beck, Guthrie Center - For being selected to the Iowa
    All-State Speech Team. Senator Douglas (3-29-95).

         Jessica Lewis, Guthrie Center - For being selected to the Iowa
    All-State Girls Basketball Team. Senator Douglas (3-29-95).

         Craig Sylvester, Hedrick - For being named Southeast Iowa Farmer of
    the Year.  Senator Hedge (3-25-95).



                              STUDY BILLS RECEIVED

         Appropriations

         Relating to agriculture and natural resources, by providing for
    appropriations and revenue, providing related statutory changes, and
    providing effective dates.

    SSB 356
         Appropriations

         Making an annual appropriation to the passenger rail service
    revolving fund.
