                                    PETITIONS

         The following petitions favoring issuance of motor vehicle licenses
    by county treasurers were presented and placed on file by:

         Senator Boswell from 626 residents of Decatur County.

         Senator McLaren from 41 residents of Montgomery County.

         The following petition was presented and placed on file by:

         Fifty-four residents of Polk County favoring true parental
    notification of a parent or legal guardian prior to performance of an
    abortion on a minor (definition of parent would exclude grandparents,
    siblings or other relatives) and providing for a judicial bypass.
