Senate Journal: Page 718: Monday, March 20, 1995

         Senator Hedge asked and received unanimous consent that action  on
    amendment S-3087 and Senate File 141 be deferred.

    Senate File 232

         On motion of Senator Drake, Senate File 232, a bill for  an act
    prohibiting persons under the age of eighteen from riding and
    prohibiting operators from allowing persons under the age of eighteen
    from riding on any portion of a motor vehicle unintended for use of
    passengers and providing a penalty, was taken up for consideration.

         Senator Drake offered amendment S-3097 filed by him on March 6,
    1995, to page 1 of the bill and asked and received unanimous consent
    that action on the amendment be deferred.

         Senator Lind offered amendment S-3118 filed by him on March 13,
    1995 to page 1 and the title page of the bill and moved its adoption.

         Amendent S-3118 was adopted by a voice vote.

         With the adoption of amendment S-3118, the Chair ruled amendment
    S-3097, previously deferred, out of order.

         Senator Deluhery asked and received unanimous consent that action
    on Senate File 232 be deferred.

    Senate File 202

         On motion of Senator Hansen, Senate File 202, a bill for an act
    relating to public health issues, including certain birth certificates
    and licensing of athletic trainers, was taken up for consideration.

         Senator Hansen moved that the bill be read the last time now and
    placed upon its passage, which motion prevailed by a voice vote, and the
    bill was read the last time.

         On the question Shall the bill pass? (S.F. 202) the vote was:
