                        COMMITTEE ON MEMORIAL RESOLUTIONS

         MR. PRESIDENT: The committee on memorial resolutions has
    ascertained the names of former members of the Senate who have become
    deceased and appoints the following committee to prepare a memorial
    resolution:

         The following petitions opposing reinstatement of the death penalty
    were presented and placed on file by:
