                             ANNOUNCEMENT OF VISITOR

         Senator Szymoniak announced that Sergei Khrushchev, son of former
    Soviet premier, Nikita Khrushchev, was visiting the Statehouse and would
    be present in the rotunda today for senators to meet him.

         Sergei accompanied his father and mother in an historic visit to
    Iowa in 1959, and is now a researcher at the Watson Institutes Center
    for Foreign Policy Development at Brown University.
