 1     Amend House File 555 as follows:
 2     1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 2 the
 3   following:
 4     "Sec. ___.  Section 422.12, subsection 1, Code
 5   1995, is amended by adding the following new
 6   paragraph:
 7     NEW PARAGRAPH.  f.  For each dependent attending a
 8   public elementary or secondary school in this state,
 9   the amount of any fees charged for textbooks to be
10   used by the dependent."
