Rants of Woodbury offered the following amendment H-3923 filed
by him and moved its adoption:
H-3923
 1     Amend Senate File 422, as amended, passed, and
 2   reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
 3     1.  Page 9, line 10, by inserting after the word
 4   "recorder" the following:  "or a successor county
 5   officer".
 6     2.  Page 9, line 11, by inserting after the word
 7   "recorder" the following:  "or a successor county
 8   officer".
 9     3.  Page 9, line 15, by inserting after the word
10   "recorders" the following:  "or their successor county
11   officers".
Amendment H-3923 was adopted.
Rants of Woodbury offered the following amendment H-3922 filed
by him and moved its adoption:
H-3922
 1     Amend Senate File 422, as amended, passed, and
 2   reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
 3     1.  Page 9, by inserting after line 17 the
 4   following:  "During the transitional period, the
 5   county recorder or a successor county officer shall
 6   not employ additional personnel to carry out the
 7   provisions of this Act."
Amendment H-3922 lost.
Carroll of Poweshiek moved that the bill be read a last time now
and placed upon its passage which motion prevailed and the bill
was read a last time.
