Ninety-fourth Calendar Day - Sixty-third Session Day Hall of the House of Representatives Des Moines, Iowa, Wednesday, April 12, 1995 The House met pursuant to adjournment at 8:55 a.m., Speaker Corbett in the chair. Prayer was offered by Reverend John C. Koedyker, Community Reformed Church, Clinton. The Journal of Tuesday, April 11, 1995 was approved. PETITION FILED The following petition was received and placed on file: By Houser of Pottawattamie, from twenty-eight constituents favoring retaining the issuance of driver's licenses in the office of the County Treasurer. LEAVE OF ABSENCE Leave of absence was granted as follows: Warnstadt of Woodbury, until his arrival, on request of Schrader of Marion. CONSIDERATION OF BILLS Regular Calendar Senate File 9, a bill for an act relating to the performance of duties of the office of recorder on abolition of the office and the filing of documents and providing an effective date and for retroactive applicability, with report of committee recommending passage, was taken up for consideration. Klemme of Plymouth moved that the bill be read a last time now and placed upon its passage which motion prevailed and the bill was read a last time. On the question "Shall the bill pass?"
