adoption:

 1     Amend the amendment, H-3765, to Senate File 462, as
 2   amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as
 3   follows:
 4     1.  Page 4, by striking line 30.
Amendment H-3840 was adopted.
On motion by Houser of Pottawattamie, the committee amendment
H-3765, as amended, was adopted.

Running of Linn asked and received unanimous consent to defer
action on amendment H-3842.
Houser of Pottawattamie offered the following amendment H-3803
filed by him and moved its adoption:
H-3803
 1     Amend Senate File 462, as amended, passed, and
 2   reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
 3     1.  Page 8, by inserting after line 21 the
 4   following:
 5     "   .  The department of human services shall
 6   consult with the department of inspections and
 7   appeals, the Iowa state association of counties, and
 8   the Iowa association of rehabilitation and residential
 9   facilities in adopting administrative rules
10   identifying optimum staffing ratios for intermediate
11   care facilities for the mentally retarded (ICFMR).
12   The administrative rules shall be implemented on or
13   before January 1, 1996."
14     2.  By renumbering as necessary.
