	The House met pursuant to adjournment, Speaker Corbett in the
chair.

	Prayer was offered by Pastor David Renfro, of St. Paul Lutheran
Church, Aurelia.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

	The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Kimberly Eaton, Clive and
Carolyn Smith, Urbandale. They are members of the Moingona Girl
Scout Council. 	

	The Journal of Friday, January 13, 1995 was approved.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE

	Leave of absence was granted as follows:

	Holveck of Polk on request of Schrader of Marion.

COMMITTEE ON CREDENTIALS

	MR. SPEAKER: WE, your committee on credentials, respectfully
report that we find the following named person duly elected to
an entitled to a seat in the House of Representatives of the
Seventy-sixth General Assembly as shown by duplicate copies of
the certification of election on file in the office of the
Secretary of State:

that at a special election held on January 10, 1995, Rosemary R.
Thomson was elected to fill a vacancy in the office of State
Representative of the Fifty-first District, for the balance of
the term which began on January first, 1995.
