1 1 Section 1. DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES – TERRACE HILL.
1 2 There is appropriated from the general fund of the state to
1 3 the department of general services for the fiscal year
1 4 beginning July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996, the
1 5 following amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, to be
1 6 used for the purpose designated:
1 7 For necessary maintenance and repairs at Terrace Hill:
1 8 .................................................. $ 5,000
1 9 Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys appropriated in this
1 10 section which remain unexpended or unobligated at the close of
1 11 the fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund of the
1 12 state but shall remain available for expenditure for the
1 13 purpose designated in the succeeding fiscal year.
1 14 Sec. 2. SOLDIERS AND SAILORS MONUMENT OF THE CIVIL WAR –
1 15 REPAIR AND RENOVATION. There is appropriated from the general
1 16 fund of the state to the department of general services for
1 17 the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1995, and ending June 30,
1 18 1996, the following amount, or so much thereof as is
1 19 necessary, to be used for the following purpose:
1 20 To provide for the renovation and repair of the soldiers
1 21 and sailors monument of the civil war on the state capitol
1 22 complex:
1 23 .................................................. $ 150,000
1 24 Notwithstanding section 8.33, any unencumbered or
1 25 unobligated funds appropriated in this section remaining on
1 26 June 30, 1996, shall not revert to the general fund of the
1 27 state on August 31, 1996, but shall revert to the general fund
1 28 on August 31, 1997.
1 29 Sec. 3. WORLD WAR II VETERANS MEMORIAL – PLANNING AND
1 30 CONSTRUCTION APPROPRIATION. There is appropriated from the
1 31 general fund of the state to the department of general
1 32 services for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1995, and
1 33 ending June 30, 1996, the following amount, or so much thereof
1 34 as is necessary, to be used for the following purpose:
1 35 To provide for the planning, siting, and construction of a
2 1 world war II veterans memorial:
2 2 .................................................. $ 200,000
2 3 1. The moneys appropriated in this section may be used to
2 4 match nonstate funds for the planning, siting, and
2 5 construction of the memorial. The state match shall be $2 of
2 6 state money for each $3 of nonstate money.
2 7 2. Notwithstanding section 8.33, any unencumbered or
2 8 unobligated funds appropriated in this section remaining on
2 9 June 30, 1996, shall not revert to the general fund of the
2 10 state on August 31, 1996, but shall revert on August 31, 1997.
2 11 Sec. 4. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act, being deemed of
2 12 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.
2 13 EXPLANATION
2 14 This bill relates to and makes appropriations to the
2 15 department of general services for fiscal year 1995-1996. The
2 16 bill includes appropriations for the following purposes:
2 17 maintenance and repairs at Terrace Hill, renovation and repair
2 18 of the soldiers and sailors monument on the capitol complex,
2 19 and planning and construction of the world war II veterans
2 20 memorial. The bill includes nonreversion provisions for the
2 21 appropriations and provides an immediate effective date.
