  1  1    Section 1.  TRANSFER OF INTERNATIONAL MARKETING UNIT OF
  1  2 AGRICULTURAL MARKETING DIVISION.  The international marketing
  1  3 unit of the agricultural marketing division of the department
  1  4 of agriculture and land stewardship, as provided in 21 IAC
  1  5 1.3(1)"d", and $140,751 and 3.00 FTEs, comprising the
  1  6 employment positions of secretary II, program planner III, and
  1  7 livestock marketing specialist, appropriated and authorized to
  1  8 the administrative division of the department of agriculture
  1  9 and land stewardship in 1995 Iowa Acts, chapter 216, section
  1 10 1, paragraph "a", unnumbered paragraph 1, are transferred to
  1 11 the international division of the department of economic
  1 12 development, as provided in 261 IAC 67-68.  The merit system
  1 13 employment status under chapter 19A of the secretary II,
  1 14 program planner III, and livestock marketing specialist shall
  1 15 be preserved within the international division of the
  1 16 department of economic development.
  1 17    Sec. 2.  EFFECTIVE DATE.  This Act, being deemed of
  1 18 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.  
  1 19                           EXPLANATION
  1 20    This bill transfers the international marketing unit of the
  1 21 agricultural marketing division and $140,751 and 3.00 FTEs,
  1 22 appropriated by the 1995 Acts to the administrative division
  1 23 of the department of agriculture, to the international
  1 24 division of the department of economic development.  The bill
  1 25 takes effect upon enactment.
