1 1 Section 1. Section 15A.1, Code 1995, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 4. A private person shall not receive
1 4 assistance for economic development under subsection 2 if the
1 5 business for which the economic development assistance is
1 6 sought currently employs or has employed within the last five
1 7 years replacement workers for striking employees.
1 8 EXPLANATION
1 9 This bill provides that public funds shall not be used for
1 10 economic development assistance for any business which
1 11 employs, or has employed within the last five years,
1 12 replacement workers for employees involved in a labor strike.
