1 1 Section 1. DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. There is
1 2 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
1 3 department of economic development for the fiscal year
1 4 beginning July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996, to
1 5 supplement the appropriation made in 1995 Iowa Acts, chapter
1 6 204, section 1, subsection 2, paragraph "d", the following
1 7 amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, to be used for the
1 8 purpose designated:
1 9 For deposit in the Iowa strategic investment fund:
1 10 .................................................. $ 2,100,000
1 11 Sec. 2. DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE AND FINANCE. There is
1 12 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
1 13 department of revenue and finance for the fiscal year
1 14 beginning July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996, to
1 15 supplement the appropriation made in 1995 Iowa Acts, chapter
1 16 219, section 19, subsection 3, the following amount, or so
1 17 much thereof as is necessary, to be used for the purpose
1 18 designated:
1 19 For internal resources management:
1 20 .................................................. $ 104,500
1 21 Sec. 3. DEPARTMENT OF INSPECTIONS AND APPEALS. There is
1 22 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
1 23 department of inspections and appeals for the fiscal year
1 24 beginning July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996, to
1 25 supplement the appropriation made in 1995 Iowa Acts, chapter
1 26 219, section 9, the following amount, or so much thereof as is
1 27 necessary, to be used for the purpose designated:
1 28 For racetrack regulation:
1 29 .................................................. $ 147,000
1 30 Sec. 4. DEPARTMENT OF PERSONNEL. There is appropriated
1 31 from the Iowa public employees' retirement system fund to the
1 32 department of personnel for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
1 33 1995, and ending June 30, 1996, to supplement the
1 34 appropriation made in 1995 Iowa Acts, chapter 219, section 16,
1 35 subsection 1, the following amount, or so much thereof as is
2 1 necessary, to be used for the purpose designated:
2 2 For salaries, support, maintenance, and other operational
2 3 purposes to pay the costs of the Iowa public employees'
2 4 retirement system:
2 5 .................................................. $ 150,000
2 6 Sec. 5. DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES. There is
2 7 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
2 8 department of general services for the fiscal year beginning
2 9 July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996, to supplement the
2 10 appropriation made in 1995 Iowa Acts, chapter 219, section 5,
2 11 subsection 6, the following amount, or so much thereof as is
2 12 necessary, to be used for the purpose designated:
2 13 For utility costs:
2 14 .................................................. $ 55,000
2 15 Sec. 6. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act, being deemed of
2 16 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.
2 17 EXPLANATION
2 18 The bill makes supplemental appropriations for the 1995-
2 19 1996 fiscal year to the departments of economic development,
2 20 revenue and finance, inspections and appeal, personnel, and
2 21 general services.
2 22 The bill takes effect upon enactment.
